It's been a LOOONG time since I've actually read a book. Other than rotating some old books and reading mangas, I was bored. Truly. The last book I really enjoyed was Twilight. And that was way back in 2007.

I made a promise to myself to stay away from paranormal romances because everyone knows they're guilty pleasures of mine but ALAS, I can't stop myself.

Thank God it's none of that vampires shit because we all know it's soo overrated now. Please. No more. (PS: Werewolves are getting overrated too)

First off, you have to admit the cover art is pretty. If I have a book published (which I'm working on right NOW), I want to have a cover as pretty as this.

I had a choice between Beautiful Creatures and Fallen but eventually I went for the latter because the synopsis at the back explains more compared to the first. And it's not that much. I'm telling you, the story is kind of vague and mysterious. I guess that's the beauty of Lauren Kate's work because in every chapter it slowly unravels and sometime, I do find myself asking what exactly I'm reading.

The narration of the story is told in a third person POV where Lauren did not let anything slip and we readers are left with wondering what's all the mystery about.

Our main character is Luce who was transferred to a reform school because she was charged of murder of the guy she likes. Arriving there, she was immediately attracted to Daniel Gregori who flipped her off on their first encounter (my fav part of the book :p).

My only problem of the book is that you might find that you've wasted almost the whole novel trying to figure out who Daniel is and why people at a reform school act so weird (what do u expect, it's a reform school). Let me save you the trouble and tell you who Daniel is; he's an ANGEL! Yep, you read me right. An angel.

My next problem with the book is; it seemed to me there are a lot of insignificant events going on in the book that left me screaming, "WHY?!" Maybe Lauren is going to explain it in her later books, I don't know but that's my problem with it.

Maybe I'm a bit clueless on whats going on because I don't know much about Christianity. Yes, there's a lot of implications on it but I somehow can make a connection because there's not much difference about Angels and Satans in Islam and Christianity. Maybe a few MAJOR points.

I found out that this is going to be a 4-books series so I cant wait to read the rest. The second book is coming out in September 2010 (which is a LOOOOOONG time from now).

The best thing I find about this book is that it really defines the whole forbidden romance thing. If you think Edward and Bella have it hard, think again. Imagine if you're immortal and the person you love keeps on dying every time you kiss them. And you have to wait for another 17 years to have her reincarnate again and repeat the process for several times. Now that is SAD.

Overall, it was a good read. Definitely a breath of fresh air.

If you're sick of vampires like me, give fallen angels a chance. Because they are HOT.

PS: a personal request from me to everyone I know,

I hope that nothing bad will happen to my family and I for this two months as I would like things to go as smooth as possible. Hopefully no one causes shit to my family and me.

Hello my name is Yang Safia. I'm half korean.

WHAT?! Are you trying to shit me?

No I'm not. I'm half korean because I watch Korean dramas.

WHAT?! You're korean because you watch Korean dramas?!

YES!

Maybe I should introduce myself that way from now on, don't you think?

You see, I've been listening/watching nothing but Korean stuff these days. In fact, it's been like this for the past 2 months. I don't even watch the usual news. I watch Korean news. And they don't even have subs on it. I'm freakin serious. Ask my dad or my friends....I've been driving them nuts.

If you've been following this blog, you must've noticed this obsession when I first post an entry on Super Junior. And from then on, my music is Korean, my news is Korea, my dramas and shows are in Hangul and instead of screaming OMG, I went Aigoooooooooooooo~! instead.

In fact, it is most likely if you come to my house now; you might find KBS on instead of RIA, E! or MTV. My mom doesnt mind it because she's into it too. I bet you, she would be complaining if I'm watching MTV or E! News all the time but now, she's okay if I'm watching Music Bank or Entertainment Weekly. They are basically the same shows except one is in English and the other is in Hangul.

Now that's a bit biased dont you think?

heheheh

You may ask, why am I like this? What happened to the normal Yang? The awesomely cool and lees geeky Yang.

Don't worry, she's still here. Except that currently I'm trying to prove this one theory. They say, if you're always exposed to one language all the time, you may end up speaking it?

Well, I want to speak Hangul and I've been exposing myself to it 24/7. And I think it's working. Well, it's not as well as how my Japanese is but now if somebody speak Hangul, I can actually hear each syllable of the word.

YAY me!

Till then,

TA!

PS: I rly dont know wat to talk about so I had to post this random entry juz to keep this blog alive.

*sneaks back into her shell and continues watching Family Outing*

A bit play with John Mayer's song right there. :)

Anyways, I am definitely swallowing up my pride and I am pretty sure there are going to be certain parties that are going to be embarrassed but hey, I'm not so thanks for feeling embarrassed on my behalf.

You see, I have my own room and obviously I sleep alone and I hate it if people want to sleep on mine. Unless you're one my gfs and we're having a sleepover so thats an exception. The thing about me is that, I have a lot of stuff on my bed. I sleep with a lot of objects that people usually dont sleep with. =_=

Since I'm so free, I've decided to observe what I have on my bed.

Let's GO GO GO~!

**My bed, an overview**

**Where I sleep**

**Meet my boy Joe**

**My pink jacket**

**My handbag**

**DVDs: more specifically Super Junior and FT Island's concert DVDs**

**Books. But I've been lazy lately so I've been reading a lot of mangas**

**An essential. My MP3 player**

**Lotion**
(Support homegrown products!! lol)

**This brooch set I got as a present from my dad**

**My fav. grey shirt**

**My laptop**

You might go, wtf on me but I can tell you that most of the stuff there are essentials and I have to have them with me, even if I go to bed. Tho there are things that I don't know how it got on my bed but hey, it's there and it's not lost! SO that's good news~!

I am most creative (I write most of my stories and now finishing up my 1st novel) when I'm on my bed and I know I'm going to miss it severely when I move to New Zealand. In fact, this is going to be my last time using it since after this, my room will be Adam's and I'll have no room! I know what you're thinking, it's like they're kicking me out.

I do feel like that sometimes. (=___=)

But someone told me, "Don't make a place your home, a home is wherever you are" so I guess I'm going to take that advice! >__<

My bed is a wonderland................~

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!

SO far, my life is very routine-ic but i like it. Just going day by day doing nothing but fetching up my sibs and running errands. And oh yeah, going online. And finishing up my first novel.

A few days ago, my package from Otago Uni arrived and today I went to pick it up with my dad. Oh God, I HATE HATE HATE settling stuff about my uni. I mean, I'm looking forward to moving there but oh the forms I have to fill and the documents I have to get certified!!!

A PAIN. A SERIOUS PAIN!

I have like 5 forms to fill up for my visa and not to mention I have to get a medical checkup. Not at any hospital, at some unknown clinic in PJ! ARGHHHHH!!!

And then I have to sign up for this mentor program thingy I'm joining, look up for plane tickets, check out some accommodation for my family for their one week stay in NZ, go find a car, photocopy tons of documents, take passport size pictures (coz my last one made me look like a friggin terrorist) and a bunch of other stuff. And of course, prepare for raya.

I would love to put this off till after raya but being me, I hate procrastinating my work. Okay, only important stuff like these lah.

And did you know Dunedin is a scottish town? Aigoo....that means I'm getting a scottish accent lah. ARGHHHH!!!

So now, to divert my attention from actual work, I'm making more mix CDs and obsessing about Hongki.

I even made a "Yang <3 Hongki" fake tattoo on my leg.

And I think I have performance chemistry with my sis, Ina coz we're planning to make more videos!

Look forward to our "Sorry Sorry" MV.

And currently we're planning to make video of us lip-synching to a trot song. YES, TROT!

And I'm crazy about tecktonik right now. If only I can dance it lah which I cant.

ARGHHHHHHHH~!

G-Dragon hails from YG Entertainment (as in Yang). OMG COINCIDENCE MUCH?!!! Btw, dont you dare go "is that a girl?" like my dad unless you want me to KILL you. Yess, I do kill.

Some of these captions are from G-Dragon's songs.

***My name is Gee Gee Gee baby baby. GD GD baby baby!***

***Too fast to live, Too young to die***

***You want fame, playing this stupid little game? Check ya girl's phone, it's mah face on the frame!***

***Our bond is tight!***

Okay, who am I kidding? Ginger is such a diva. Only when he's asleep I can hold his paw like that.

A video of how my sister and I would propose to all 13 members of Super Junior. We did this only in one take because we're that SUPER awesome. Song: Marry U by Super Junior.

Terer right we sing in Korean? ;p
Yang Safia On Tuesday, September 1, 2009
Okay, before you jump into conclusions, I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED! not yet la...have to wait first. BUT I'm so in love with this song that fo sho it's going to be on my wedding playlist. You see, I was never the kind of girl to actually dream her dream wedding when I was a little girl due to the constant abuse of marriage done by my lovely uncles (yes you, ayah ngah and ayah lang!!!!) that I'm scarred for life. Until a few years ago I became open to the idea.

Click here to watch the video of Marry U. (WATCH IT PEOPLE!!!) I love love the rap part.

I don't care if most of my guests x paham this song. I sorang paham pon cukup la. I firmly oppose of playing any traditional wedding songs (yg, selamat pengantin baru song UGH!!!) because its MY wedding so I GET to do whatever I WANT!

The songs that's going to be played will be songs that my groom and I love. :)

Until then,

Selamat Berpuasa :p

Clearly I have a lot of free time in my hands because I'm updating more regularly now. Oh well, cheers for me!

You guys are prolly going to go WTF because this post is actually about my cat, Ginger. Due to my free time and countless hours of observation, I have concluded that Ginger is leading a double life.

Full Name: Ginger Dorantes (haha my cat is spanish! Dorantes comes from the surname of one of the characters of this telenovela I watched waaaaaaaaaay back in 2002. Remember Rosalinda? LMAO)

Age: 7++ years old

Nickname: Datuk, Baby, Shishio, Bebeh, GD, Gengar, Gingi etc....

So anyway, Ginger is now commonly known as GD or Gengar because we're trying to compensate the fact that Ginger is a girly name n my cat is actually male. >_>

I'd like to think that GD is his rapper name and Ina n I went overboard with our imagination and we like to think that GD is actually a famous rapper.

You know how obsessed I am with anything Korean right now. SO if you are one, surely u've heard of the band, Big Bang. And whose the leader?

G-Dragon.

LIKE OHMIGOD, coincidence much? His initials and my cat's are the same!!! And the first time I saw him, he has blond hair!! JZ LIKE GINGER!!!
Oh my, could it be? (O_O)

No wonder Ginger is always sleeping....he's tired from touring and at the same time, trying to keep this charade. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH~!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> G-Dragon

I LOVE them ASIAN BOYS! >_<

Conversation between my dad and me:

Abah: Ya Allah, tak setia nyer!

M: I do have one! But that doesnt mean I can't put up his friend's pics oso
A: So kakak klo boring tukar2 la ni?
M: I don't get where you're going with this!
A: My god...ramai nyer. *looks at my desktop*

I just found these pictures and it reminded me of all those fun times in families class when I was in CIMP. It taught me a lot about society and I had a great lecturer. Thanks Mr Pelland!

Hope I will get to meet more great teachers who can teach me a lot in Otago. :)

This Ramadhan is really challenging for me. I think it's the old age.

My whole body hurts. Arghhh.... >_<

OLD

Yang Safia On Thursday, August 20, 2009
I've just realized how old we are (refrence: my siblings and i). I think baru je the other day we ran around the house, banging on stuff and making noise.

Oh wait, we still do. :)

I mean, OMG anak-anak En Mior Azli and Pn Salmah are soooooooooooo old.

let's review.

Me - 19
Soraya- 17
Sabrina- 16
Adam- 13

And it doesn't help the fact that we all are so tall and every time we go out, we're like these tall trees that walk together. And in the middle, if you're lucky enough...you'll see this short woman standing amidst all these tall trees.

Haha, yeah that's my mom.

If you're wondering where's my dad...well, dia selalu jalan laju so you can expect to see him waaaaaay up front.

I'd like to say that we're a pretty serious family. I mean, it's rare for outsiders to see us joke around and just act like fools. We rarely smile also so yeah...add more to the seriousness factor.

But back to my siblings and how old we are...we can be pretty loud. I pity my parents sometimes because having giant teenagers running around the house and starting body slamming each other must be hard work. Most of the time, my parents just let us be.

TRIVIA about the Yang sisters and our brother, Adam.

1) Ina loves to cry like a baby at random. And she does it juz to annoy the shit out of us. (my parents find it cute tho *gagpukegag*)

2) Adam and Ina have this language they talk to each other. I dunno it coz it doesnt make sense to me.

3)Adam and Aya DONT get along. (BIG MISTAKE: put them next to each other in the car, etc)

4)My dad calls Ina, "Yinna!" konon cute la tu

5) Aya and I have fought over a guy before. (happened a few days ago actually. nak citer jugak ke? >_<)

6) Adam can give all his sisters piggy-back rides now (even me!).

7) Everytime we go out (just the four of us), it is expected that Aya sits at the front.

8) Adam can be such a gentleman. If us four keluar shopping, he won't let us pegang barang and even pushes the trolley for us. Also he always walks behind us so that none of us "hilang".

9) Aya is uncool. That is fact.

10) Us sisters do gossip apparently!

11) All my sibs come to me if they have any social issues/probs/dilemmas. Coz I'm cool.

12) Our own friends clearly reflects what kind of person we are as individuals.

13) I'm the only one in my siblings who can't count.

14) I'm also the only one in my siblings who doesn't have any biology-related knowledge.

15) Aya tutors me math.

16) Aya is vain.

17) Ina is the only one among the sisters who you might call, domestic.

18) Adam annoys the hell out of me.

19) There are no jealousy within our siblings.

20) I'm happy that my siblings are smarter than me

21) I cuss like a sailor

22) Aya doesn't curse

23) Ina is the only one who doesnt own a cell phone

Ah, there's a lot more to list but I'm tired lah. Till then, ciao!!

SuJu ROCKS!!! ^___^

I'm going to let it be. See how things go. If it's meant to be, it will be.

I'd like to dedicate my 100th post to Han Geng.

The first time I saw you, it was a few days ago. And I would like to say that you are the epitome of my perfect guy. Even though I'm an astronomy non-believer, our zodiacs matched and that cute laugh of yours is enough to melt any heart. I know I'm a bit old for obsessing with celebrities but you are soooo perfect...for me.

Although the chances of us meeting is 980734209470913582.8097 to 1, if I had to settle for someone lesser than you, he must have almost all the same qualities as you.

I know people normally write poems but I can't. I don't know how to write a poem but I'm writing a story about you! It's already up on Fictionpress and I'm currently finishing up Chapter 2. I know I could've written more things about you but I can't. I'm simply not good at these kind of things.

But I've prepared a list of reasons why I should end up with you:

1) You're an aquarius and I'm a Gemini. Even the stars are aligned for us.

2) You're taller than me and that's a good thing.

3) That body of yours makes me go, "Hot Daym!" and my body is well, I'm getting there.

4) You're so nice and gentle. And I'm mean and gentle.

5) You're only 6 years older than me.

6) I'm willing to learn Mandarin for you.

7) We're living in the same continent!

8) I know you love to sing, dance and play video games. Even though I'm a lost cause for the first two, I'm always game for a video game with you~

9) You're chinese and I'm almost chinese.

10) I can teach you English and you can teach me Korean. A win-win situation!

On a Saturday I cant remember, all of my girlfriends (those who can make it la) planned an outing so that we all can spend a day with Kavitha before she fly off to Bandung. Like me, she's going overseas except she can frequently go back (as the airfare is soooo cheap compared to mine) and things are easier as you can shop like hell (Bandung being a shopping heaven around this region) and cheaper. We also get to meet the much acclaimed boyfriend of hers, Prem. Nice guy coz we all got jealous~! haha

Location: Sunway Pyramid

Eh?

**This is Kahoe, the guy from Talentime. Yeah, I have a crush on him so sue meh. No wait, before you do. Let me put a disclaimer first. I do not OWN this picture.

Btw, I'd like to take credit for most of the pictures up there. Yes, I took them. With Kavi's camera but thats beside the point.

Random Attack!

It frustrates me to no end when I found out some kid who is younger than me can finish writing a whole goddamn book whereas I, cant barely pass chapter 3. I dont know how they do it.

Now listen to my excuse.

I cant work without a legit deadline.

:)
