I had a quite fabulous time yesterday. Seeing that I only have one lecture and no tutorials, I anxiously waited for the SPM news from Malaysia. But due to the time difference, I had to go and help with the BBQ prep for this Saturday's event. Before that, Naomi invited me to her flat to see whether I am interested in flatting with her next year. Omona, it's too good to be true la. The place is fab. And it's near to campus and she has a car. Hehe.

Right after that, we both went to pick up Syahira, Adeline and Sean to go to PaknSave to buy things for the BBQ.

Then we had to drive around to pick up things from various places like pots and pans and Naomi sent the three home before bringing me to Rainforest for dinner.

Lamb curry with rice. Overpriced but the most decent food I've ever had since coming here.

Roti canai, Teh Tarik and Rojak were on the house.

Right after dinner, seeing that we were both late for rehersals; we rushed to Club and Socs to find everybody there. And it was really cold yesterday. I had to wear my jacket and all.

Right away after practice, it was already quite late and we were all tired. It was then Adeline suggested we all go and get some bubble tea before going home. And we DID! I have to admit though, the bubble tea place at Sunway is UNBEATABLE!!!

So yeah, that's what happened. CONGRATULATIONS TO AYA FOR GETTING 10A's in SPM! You totally deserve it. :)

And so I bought a little present for my sisters la. I'm saving up money to buy my family and friends' prezzies. Right now, all those that are left are Abah, Adam and Mama. :) I still couldn't find a good one.

...knocks on your door while you're busy stressing over the pressure from Health Sci First Year?

She ajak you to camwhore of course!

Meet one of my flatmates, Yejung. She's awesome.

Excuse the disgusting lighting. Isn't it just yucky?

Yay for Thursday! My last day of class for the week! :)

GOD BLESS SKYPE! I don't think I would last a week if it wasn't for skype. Other than using it with my family, I also skype with my best friends. So late last night (6PM Malaysian time), I skyped with Sara and Shaza. God, I miss them. :(

Distance is no obstacle for us. We can still camwhore. Haha

And I terribly miss my cat, Ginger. But he somewhat refused to look at the camera. He did this instead;

Well, that went well.

My Saturday was relatively eventful. This morning I found myself on my way to the farmer's market at the edge of town when I got a call from my RA; asking me to come back to my place because we're going to practice the fire drill. My mentor said I have to go to show my flat commitment so I ran all the way back to Toroa.

Phew.

After that, I hung around a bit before I get ready for my drama rehearsals at OUSA's Clubs and Socs building. Two hours later, I was on my way to Rialto's (I think that's what it's called) to watch Alice in Wonderland with my flatmate, Azreeza. One ticket costs $12. Ah, I can just feel my pockets drying. Try converting that to Malaysian ringgit and you know how much of a rip off that is.

Basically I find the movie quite short and fast paced. I was surprised it was only for an hour and 15minutes. The only highlight of the movie was of course...Johnny Depp. Ahh Johnny, I would burn my precious $12 just to see you with orange hair and green eyes.

God, the man is really something. How he can make my heart flutter with that get-up is a mystery. Darn, I wish Alice would just stay in Wonderland and be with Mad Hatter. But nooooooo, she had to be all ambitious and go to China. Grrrrrrrrrr!!

Well, we all know what I would do. I'll stay with Mad Hatter and live madly ever after. :)

So sweet and hot at the same time. *giggles*

As you all might not know, I don't have classes on Fridays. And because I'm all alone in the house while everybody else is out, I decided to study. Yes. Study.

I hate studying.

I miss home. I miss Malaysia. I wish I could join you guys under that unbearable blazing sun. I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss the Malaysian heat. :(

So here I am again, waiting for my lecture to start. And oddly enough, every time I go to the university I start to miss home like mad. I always tell myself, "Oh I wish my parents are here. Oh I wish my friends are here..."

Maybe because I feel lonely.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>V My lecture hall.

And usually when I feel like that, I tend to look up at my saved messages that I have on my phone. Like this one in particular...

".....I miss reading your face, guessing the issue of the day. I'm sorry I was busy and hostile nak mampus. But I do miss you. Even Shah Alam and the 15th reminded me of you. U helped me keep grounded at Sunway.........Trust me, I'll miss u. Keep safe over there! I know how big a step it is for u to get from CIMP to today. Today, you're on your own. I'm proud of you....I love you memberku."

This is a text sent to me from Ayesha on the day I was about to leave. I kept reading this over and over when I'm out on my own. I'm so alone right now but I know, this is only a part of the journey. I will make it and achieve my goals. I'll come back to Malaysia proud.

I know I'm going to make it.

I am so proud that I'm actively blogging despite being in a new environment. I'm so proud of myself! :p

So how did my first day of classes went...I woke up nervous, for one I did not hear my alarm at all and I was quite frantic. Luckily it was only 7.15am at the time. Phew. Showered and had my breakfast. I looked at my watch and it was only 8.30am. Paced in my room, waiting for it to be 9am. I'm meeting Sim, my RA and we decided to go to class together.

My first class was at Archway 1 and it only took me a couple minutes to find where it is. Arrived. Looked at my watch again and discovered I was 40minutes early. Stood outside the lecture hall and luckily made myself a friend. Her name is Imogene. I love that name and apparently she LOVES literature. That's cool considering that she was named after one of Shakespeare's characters.

And so my lecture started promptly at 10am and it was a full house; well considering that it is a small lecture hall. It's certainly no St. David's but nevertheless, it was full. For the first few weeks, my Professor revealed that we are doing Chaucer's Tales of Canterbury. And then she started yapping in some unknown language.

I am SERIOUS. Just go here. If you understand that, I applaud you. Honestly I was a bit overwhelmed from all of this but seeing it was my first time, I should let it settle and let myself be familiarize with it. My next lecture was at 1pm and it was alright. I was kind of sleepy though and it's still a full house. This time more than my first lecture. The paper is Effective Communication and apparently our aim is to be like Obama, JK Rowling, Oprah and Ellen De Generes.

Verrrrrry interesting indeed.

Usually lectures lasted about 50minutes so basically I had 2 hours worth of class today! YAY~! Before I went home, I decided to visit the OUSA (Otago student body) building where they are putting up a lot of stalls selling vintage stuff. They had this one rack full of dresses and all of them cost $5 each. I bought a leather handbag for Shira's birthday so it's pretty cool. The next thing I did was to drop my volunteer letter at the Critic (Otago Uni's magazine) and now I'm writing a book review for the mag!! It's due in 2 weeks so yeah...wish me luck. Hopefully it'll get published. (^__^)

Then I finally made my way back home and I vacuumed the whole place (since it's my turn this week), cook lunch and did my laundry. I wanted to sleep but I guess I was too pumped up about studying Chaucer so I spent the whole evening practicing my middle age English pronunciation. Then at 7pm, I went for the 3Abdul auditions to audition for the part narrator. I was up with another girl and the director was being pretty demanding on how she wanted it (don't blame her though) but at the end, I GOT THE PART!!!! YEAH~!!

Then I had to walk back home all alone at night. And it was raining!

So now, I'm contemplating whether I should eat or not because I'm soooooooooo hungry. But it's late. Should I?

I SHOULD! ;p
